Deliverable: Patient Education Guide for Joint Replacement Surgery
Client: Pinecreek Medical Center
I developed a comprehensive patient guide for individuals preparing for joint replacement surgery. This guide was created to support and empower patients as active participants in their own care — providing clear, compassionate information on what to expect before, during, and after surgery.
Working closely with the clinical team, I crafted content that not only explains the surgical process in plain language, but also emphasizes the importance of preparation, follow-through, and communication. The guide is used alongside the hospital’s Total Joint Class and is a key tool in reducing patient anxiety, setting realistic expectations, and improving surgical outcomes.
Projects like this one are a great reminder that high-quality healthcare content doesn't just inform — it builds confidence, connection, and better results for everyone involved.
